EDIT: I woke up with The Sweats. I’m sick like a dog. It’s still going to be a great small show, but I will be “mandown”. Thankfully the Fuzzy Poet webshop at http://www.drewgold.com is still up and running! All ya need is PayPal. Get yourself a poster, graphic tees or something quirky and cool for the kids. Hey, if you really miss that face to face interaction, feel free to Facetime me. 😉
Greetings Friends and comic-art lovers! This Saturday I’ll be set up at Indie Alley at East Coast Comicon in NJ! I booked it early and will be listed as Soul Kitchen Press. This was before I made the switch to DrewGold.com featuring the Fuzzy Poet line.
It should be a lot of fun- two days of comix and guest appearances. See you at table 726! Just look for the banner below 😉
MoCCAfest 2016 was an amazing time! I was proud to participate. Thanks to the great crowd, the entire team at The Society Of Illustrators and of course all of the awesome artists!! I hope to see you next year.
For info on conventions and new art, please stop by DrewGold.com to sign up to the newsletter (don’t worry, Fuzzy Poet won’t spam you).
PS: I’ll be at the East Coast Comicon April 16-17th.
April 02, 2016 – April 3, 2016
11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Admission to the 2016 MoCCA Arts Festival is $5 per day. Tickets are available to purchase at the door. Cash and credit cards accepted. Children under 12 are free.
MoCCA’s new host venue, Metropolitan West, is located on West 46th Street 11ave. Mere steps from the Hudson River Greenway and the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, MoCCA’s new host venue will encompass two floors of exhibitor tables, a gallery of original art showcasing the work of special guests, and pop-up cafés throughout the space.
Programming featuring panels by top artists and speakers focusing on current issues and trends will take place at Ink48, a boutique hotel located on the corner of 11th Avenue and West 48th Street. Overlooking the Hudson River, this contemporary hotel is found in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen and features spectacular views of the city skyline.
The MoCCA Arts Festival, or MoCCA Fest, is an independent comics showcase that typically includes artist booths, slide shows, and educational panels. It was created by the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art in 2002 by bringing together over 2,000 artists, publishers, editors and enthusiasts. It was named “Best Small-Press Comics Nexus Anywhere” by The Village Voice. MoCCA Fest is being produced by the Society of Illustrators, following their acquisition of the Museum the previous year.
I’m proud to be participating this year. I’m really excited to see some wonderful work from some very talented people. If you’re in the NY area please stop by and look for DrewGold.com/Fuzzy Poet. I have lots of new work- from new buttons and stickers, posters, mugs to the brand new 50 Little Critters Print Folio. I hope to see you there!
